BAFTA Awards Predictions- Updated

I’ve just checked the rules and eligibility of films for the 2015 BAFTA Awards, and I feel like I should update my previous predictions with this in mind. This means that films released up to 14th February are eligible. So, Selma is eligible but Still Alice and Cake are not. The nominations are announced on 8th January and the ceremony takes place on 16th February.

Best Film: Birdman, Boyhood, The Imitation Game, Selma, The Theory of Everything.

Best British Film: The Imitation Game, Mr. Turner, Pride, The Theory of Everything, Under the Skin.

Best Director: Ava Duvernay (Selma), David Fincher (Gone Girl), Alejandro G. Innaritu (Birdman), Richard Linklater (Boyhood), Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game).

Best Actor: Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), Michael Keaton (Birdman), David Oyelowo (Selma), Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything), Timothy Spall (Mr. Turner).

Best Actress: Amy Adams (Big Eyes), Emily Blunt (Into the Woods), Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl), Reese Witherspoon (Wild).

Best Supporting Actor: Ethan Hawke (Boyhood), Bill Nighy (Pride), Edward Norton (Birdman), Mark Ruffalo (Foxcatcher), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash).

Best Supporting Actress: Patricia Arquette (Boyhood), Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game), Imelda Staunton (Pride), Emma Stone (Birdman), Meryl Streep (Into the Woods).

Best Original Screenplay: Birdman, Boyhood, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Mr. Turner, Whiplash.

Best Adapted Screenplay: Gone Girl, The Imitation Game, Pride, The Theory of Everything, Wild.

Rising Star Award: Chadwick Boseman (Get on Up), Ellar Coltrane (Boyhood), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Belle), Jack O’Connell (Unbroken), Ben Schnetzer (Pride).
