Kermode Awards 2015- Predictions

With the Oscar nominations released, it’s time to predict who Mark Kermode will pick to win the coveted Kermode Award, which celebrates the films that weren’t nominated at the Academy Awards. Based on what Kermode liked in 2014, I’m pretty confident in getting most of these right, as he is pretty predictable.

Best Film: The Babadook (Alternate: Frank)

Best Director: Jennifer Kent- The Babadook (Alternate: Amma Asante- Belle)

Best Actor: Timothy Spall- Mr. Turner (Alternate: Ralph Fiennes- The Grand Budapest Hotel)

Best Actress: Gugu Mbatha-Raw- Belle (Alternate:Julianne Moore- Maps to the Stars)

Best Screenplay: Stephen Beresford- Pride (Alternate: Jennifer Kent- The Babadook)

Turkey of the Year: Transformers: Age of Extinction (Alternate: Pudsey the Dog: The Movie)

Best Foreign Language Film: The Golden Dream (Alternate: The Past)

Best Documentary: Life Itself (Alternate: A Story of Children and Film)
