So, here we are, the end is nigh. These are the final awards of a long awards season. It’s been fun and there are a few people I’d like to thank for making this the best awards season ever. I’d like to thank for being a place for me to broadcast my thoughts, to for making my predictions clearer and easier to make with some top class analysis. Also, thanks to Clayton Davis and the rest of for following the season all the way from the start and remaining insightful throughout. Anyway, here they are, my final Oscar predictions:

Best Picture: Boyhood (by a hair from Birdman)

Best Director: Richard Linklater (Boyhood) (I’m sticking with him despite Inarritu being the favourite)

Best Actor: Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything)

Best Actress: Julianne Moore (Still Alice)

Best Supporting Actor: J.K. Simmons (Whiplash)

Best Supporting Actress: Patricia Arquette (Boyhood)

Best Original Screenplay: The Grand Budapest Hotel (a last minute switch from Birdman)

Best Adapted Screenplay: The Imitation Game

Best Cinematography: Birdman

Best Costume Design: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Best Editing: Boyhood

Best Makeup and Hair-styling: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Best Production Design: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Best Score: The Theory of Everything

Best Song: Glory (Selma)

Best Sound Editing: American Sniper

Best Sound Mixing: Whiplash

Best Visual Effects: Interstellar

Best Animated Feature: How To Train Your Dragon 2

Best Documentary Feature: Citizenfour
