UPDATED- Emmy Nominations 2015 Predictions

It’s been a slow week as far as awards are concerned, so I thought that I should update my Emmy predictions. As the main precursors are all but complete (Golden Globes, SAG Awards, Critics’ Choice have gone, TCA is still to come after the nominees have been announced), it’s time to focus on the Emmys, especially with the nominations being announced a month tomorrow, and with the eligibility recently being slammed shut. These are my predictions, as of 15/6/15, ranked in order of expectancy to win.

Best Comedy Series: Transparent, Veep, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, The Big Bang Theory, Louie and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Best Drama Series: Mad Men, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Empire, Downton Abbey, The Americans.

Best Actor (Comedy): Jeffrey Tambor (Transparent), Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory), William H. Macy (Shameless), Louis C.K. (Louie), Matt LeBlanc (Episodes), Billy Crystal (The Comedians).

Best Actress (Comedy): Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie), Amy Schumer (Inside Amy Schumer).

Best Actor (Drama): Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Kevin Spacey (House of Cards), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Terrence Howard (Empire), Clive Owen (The Knick), Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom).

Best Actress (Drama): Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Robin Wright (House of Cards), Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife), Claire Danes (Homeland), Ruth Wilson (The Affair).

Best Supporting Actor (Comedy): Tony Hale (Veep), Ty Burrell (Modern Family), Andre Braugher (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), Fred Armisen (Portlandia).

Best Supporting Actress (Comedy): Allison Janney (Mom), Julie Bowen (Modern Family), Anna Chlumsky (Veep), Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live), Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory).

Best Supporting Actor (Drama): Jonathan Banks (Better Call Saul), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Jon Voight (Ray Donovan), Mandy Patinkin (Homeland), Jim Carter (Downton Abbey), Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline).

Best Supporting Actress (Drama): Maggie Smith (Downton Abbey), Christine Baranski (The Good Wife), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black), Sissy Spacek (Bloodline), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones).

Best Limited Series: Olive Kitteridge, American Crime, American Horror Story: Freak Show, Wolf Hall, The Honorable Woman.

Best TV Movie: Bessie, Killing Jesus, Nightingale, Derek: The Final Chapter, A Poet in New York.

Best Actor (Movie/Limited Series): David Oyelowo (Nightingale), Richard Jenkins (Olive Kitteridge), Mark Rylance (Wolf Hall), Bill Paxton (Texas Rising), Ricky Gervais (Derek: The Final Chapter), Adrien Brody (Houdini).
