88th Academy Awards Predictions- UPDATED

I’ve been looking over my Oscar predictions and as we reach the end of June, it’s high time I make some changes. Since my last predictions, we’ve seen new footage from contenders such as Bridge of Spies, Suffragette and Steve Jobs, and the releases of contenders such as Inside Out, Minions and Mad Max: Fury Road. Here’s my predicted nominees with, for the first time this season, my predicted winners. Nominees are ranked in the likelihood of winning.

Best Picture: The RevenantBridge of Spies, The Danish Girl, Steve Jobs, Sufragette, Carol, The Hateful Eight, Freeheld, Demolition, Joy.

Best Director: Todd Haynes (Carol), Alejandro G. Inarritu (The Revenant), Steven Spielberg (Bridge of Spies), Tom Hooper (The Danish Girl), Sarah Gavron (Suffragette).

Best Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant), Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs), Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl), Jake Gyllenhaal (Demolition), Johnny Depp (Black Mass).

Best Actress: Carey Mulligan (Suffragette), Cate Blanchett (Carol), Marion Cotillard (Macbeth), Jennifer Lawrence (Joy), Julianne Moore (Freeheld).

Best Supporting Actor: Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight), Tom Hardy (The Revenant), Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies), Jeff Daniels (Steve Jobs), Steve Carell (Freeheld).

Best Supporting Actress: Ellen Page (Freeheld), Rooney Mara (Carol), Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Naomi Watts (Demolition), Helena Bonham Carter (Suffragette).

Best Original Screenplay: Bridge of Spies, The Hateful Eight, Suffragette, Inside Out, Demolition.

Best Adapted Screenplay: Steve Jobs, The Revenant, Carol, Freeheld, The Danish Girl.

Best Animated Feature: Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, The Little Prince, The Peanuts Movie, Shaun the Sheep Movie.
