FINAL British Academy Film Awards Predictions

Leonardo DiCaprio is the 1/10 favourite to win Best Actor at the BAFTAs tonight for his role in The Revenant.

It’s the BAFTA Awards tonight, and, unlike most years, it could definitely decide the Best Picture race, especially as the three frontrunners, Spotlight, The Big Short, and The Revenant, are facing off against each other. Here’s my best guess as who is going to be taking home the gold masks tonight:

Best Film: The Revenant

Oustanding British Film: Brooklyn

Best Direction: Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu- The Revenant

Best Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio- The Revenant

Best Actress: Brie Larson- Room

Best Supporting Actor: Mark Rylance- Bridge of Spies

Best Supporting Actress: Rooney Mara- Carol

Best Original Screenplay: Spotlight

Best Adapted Screenplay: The Big Short

EE Rising Star Award: John Boyega

Best Debut by a British Writer/Director/Producer: Alex Garland- Ex Machina

Best Cinematography: The Revenant

Best Costume Design: Carol

Best Editing: Mad Max: Fury Road

Best Makeup and Hair: Mad Max: Fury Road

Best Production Design: Bridge of Spies

Best Film Music: The Hateful Eight

Best Sound: Mad Max: Fury Road

Best Special Visual Effects: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Best Animated Feature: Inside Out

Best Documentary Feature: Amy

Best Film Not in the English Language: The Assassin

Best Short Film: Elephant

Best Animated Short: Prologue

The British Academy Film Awards, hosted by Stephen Fry, are on Sunday 14th February 2016 at 9pm GMT on BBC One.
