British Academy Television Craft Awards 2016- FINAL PREDICTIONS

Sharon Horgan (left) and Rob Delaney (right) are nominated in Best Writer- Comedy for writing Channel 4’s Catastrophe. Horgan is also nominated for Best Female Comedy Performance at the British Academy Television Awards, which are in 2 weeks time.

The BAFTA Television Craft Awards tonight, and I thought I’d put up my predictions before the ceremony, which starts at 7pm GMT. It’s the British version of the Creative Arts Emmys, and they’re always pretty fun, so I thought I’d give it a go. Plus, it’s the only real precursor to the British Academy Television Awards, which are in two weeks time, and I’m very much looking forward to them. Let’s get started:

Best Director- Factual: James Newton- The Detectives

Best Sound- Fiction: The Enfield Haunting

Best Director- Multi-Camera: Richard Valentine and Coky Gierdyoc- The Sound of Music Live!

Best Editing- Factual: Charlie Hebdo: Three Days That Shook Paris

Best Special, Visual & Graphic Effects: Fungus the Bogeyman

Best Editing- Fiction: An Inspector Calls

Best Titles & Graphic Identity: Luther

Best Entertainment Craft Team: Strictly Come Dancing

Best Writer- Comedy: Catastrophe

Best Make-up and Hair Design: The Dresser

Best Writer- Drama: Wolf Hall

Best Original Music: Poldark
